Unbeaten Ishaan Madesh clinches Senior Max crown. 9-year-old Arshi Gupta scripts history, wins Micro Max crown. Titles for Eshanth Vengatesan, Rivaan Dev Preetham

While Ishaan Madesh (Peregrine Racing), the teenager from Bengaluru, expectedly won the title in the Senior Max category, Faridabad’s nine-year-old Arshi Gupta (Leapfrog Racing) scripted history by becoming the first female to win a National title by annexing the crown in the Micro Max class as the MECO-FMSCI National Karting Championship 2025 (Rotax Max Classes) with SIDVIN Energy Engineering as the Presenting Sponsor and MRF Tyres concluded at the Meco Kartopia circuit, here on Sunday.

Ishaan, who dominated Round-5 by winning both Pre-Finals and Finals on Saturday, repeated the feat in the sixth and concluding round on Sunday to emerge National champion. In the process, Ishaan displayed commendable pace and grit as he absorbed tremendous pressure from other contenders in both rounds.

The others who annexed the National titles were two MSPORT team-mates and Chennai drivers, Eshanth Vengatesan in Junior Max and Rivaan Dev Preetham in the newly introduced Mini Max class who also achieved a hat-trick of championships, having twice won the Micro Max titles.

Meanwhile, Ishaan Madesh, Eshanth Vengatesan and Rivaan Dev Preetham will represent India in the RMC Grand Finals in Bahrain from November 29 to December 6.

One of the highlights of the day was Arshi Gupta’s stunning performance as she won both the Pre-Finals and the Finals today in the Micro Max which earned her enough points to claim the National Championship in her category. While she fought from mid-grid to win the Pre-Finals, she topped the Finals starting from pole after rocketing off to a brilliant start to score a commanding win. Arshi thus broke another glass ceiling by becoming the first female competitor to win a national title in the 21-year-old history of the Rotax Max Championship.

In the Mini Max Final race, Rivaan Dev Preetham played it smart by opting to go for championship points rather than engage himself in a battle that could have potentially put him out of the contest after he lost his P1 spot early in the race. He was content to settle into P2 behind the winner, Hamza Balasinorwala. Earlier, he had won the Pre-Finals that brought him closer to the title.

For Mumbai’s Kiaan Shah (Rayo Racing), his win in both Pre-Finals and Finals did not fetch him enough championship points as Eshanth Vengatesan who went into this weekend’s double-header with a 28-point advantage, did just enough to claim the title.
