Bengaluru, September 9, 2026: Bengaluru’s 13-year-old karter Rishik Rohit Reddy will make his international racing debut at the FIA Karting Arrive & Drive Asia Pacific event, to be held in Macao SAR, China, from September 10 to 13.

Rishik will compete in the Junior class, which is open to drivers born between 2012 and 2014.

Carrying forward his father’s passion for motorsport, Rishik has already made his mark in the National Karting Championship, breaking into the top three in the current season. Although he missed out on a top position in the championship last season, he has shown considerable promise this year.

Rishik’s campaign was briefly disrupted by a crash into the barriers during the second round. He recovered quickly and returned to competition, maintaining his challenge for the championship.

He scored 49 points in the season-opening round at COASTT in Coimbatore, followed by 46 points in Round 2 and 52 points in Round 3, both held at MIKA in Chennai. He currently stands third in the championship with 252 points, just two points behind the runner-up and 17 points adrift of the defending champion and championship leader.

With the points from Rounds 4 and 5 in Bengaluru yet to be added, Rishik remains firmly in contention for the national championship.

The Macao outing, his international debut, will give the young Bengaluru driver his first opportunity to compete on an international stage and race against competitors from across the Asia-Pacific region.

This first ever round of this kind has 20 entries in the class representing 18 different countries. Total three entrants from India two in Junior which includes Rishik Reddy and Rivaan Dev Preetham and Kiaan Shah in Senior class.
