TVS Orbitor launched

Electric scooter industry is growing at 19.2% and TVS Motors contributes a major portion to it. Already over 6,50,000 TVS EV's on road, the company further strengthens it with the launch of TVS Orbitor.

In the journey of making city commuting easy and evolving customer needs, TVS Motors launched the New age design and by offering comfortable Ergonomics in the TVS Orbiter an EV Scooter, for the Young Pragmatics and new age Urbanites, with a ex-showroom price of Rs. 99,990/- and six colour variants in the offering, Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar grey, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium and Martian Copper.

It comes with a variable wheel size of 14inches for the front and rear with 12inches both fitted with tubeless tyre. The front is with Telescopic suspension and the rear is preloaded adjustable dual shock. The rear foot pegs find space within the body and can be slided out when required.

While an USB charging port is provided along with a easy access open box to rest the mobile on the   left side and below it is the bag holder hook  which can be pulled out  if required or can be pressed in.   34L boot space is much value added which can store two half face helmets.

The cluster is with coloured LCD, which gives information like OTA updates, Bluetooth connection TBT Navigation, Incoming call on screen, distance to empty. Reset Trip A/B option is given which is operated with a button the right had side.

The left rear brakes come with a parking lever. The parking assist function button is provided on the right hand side and the display on the screen. Single press it is forward mode and with double press the reverse mode gets engaged and a long press deactivates the parking mode.

The Cruse option is once again through a switch provided on to your left hand side, which on a single button press indicates it is cruse ready and the second press engages it, on applying the brake this function disengages.

The battery is IP 67 rated water and dust resistance with 3.1kWh and a certified range of 158km ( IDC)  with a charging time of 4hrs 10min for  0 to 80% with a home charger capacity of 650W, pre ordered 1300W capacity charger can be availed as well.

The battery is mounted in the center of the vehicle on the steel tube Chassis which in turn gives a much perfect CG, it is fitted with a BLDC motor and a peak power of 2.5KW.

With a 1855mm length and Width of 728mm with a ground clearance of 165 the height comes to 1284mm and the seat position is as such that along with a very good leg space it provides a perfect upright relaxed posture for riding with a upright fitted handlebar along with a Crystal LED head lamp. The LED Tech lamps come with a combination of Tail Lamp plus TSL. blinkers are part of the DRL.

The automated hill hold operates with precise sensing and advanced power train control when you engage the brakes this comes into effect, over the 7degree gradient at a speed of 20km per hour with 150kg pay load.

There are two drive modes one is Eco and city mode, while in the city mode on acceleration you attain a speed of 0 to 40kmph in 6.8sec. The top speed of 68kmph is attained in this mode.

Mobile App Features:

It discovers the Use and pay for public charging stations. The Geofencing and time fence is available. while the geofencing can be streched from 10mts to 10kms which cautions you through alerts on crossing it.

Crash and fall alerts with automatic motor cut off, Live location of the scooter, Navigate to scooter, emergency contacts, distance to empty anti theft alerts and call to customer care.
