Rajendra RE dominates MRF Rally of Nashik


Rajendra RE with a lead of 18sec was the winner of the MRF Rally of Nashik, round two of the MRF Mogrip FMSCI National Rally Championship 2025 for 2Wheelers held at the outskirts of Trimbakeshwar. The tarmac stage of 17kms was run thrice.

 

Overall:

Shivamogga's Rajendra RE from Petronas TVS Racing  regained his supremacy, though clocking the fastest timing he had lostthe win in the season opener, where he slided down the order due to an early check-in penalty. His start was not the best as he was slower by about 23 sec over the stage's fastest Imran Pasha. There on it was Rajendra's day as he managed to attain the top position in the very second stage and in the final stage of the day he improved on his own timing and extended his lead to 18sec for this win. While his three team mates followed him, Abdul Wahid also managed to improve on his own timing in every run and had to settle for second position. Imran Pasha with a further 14sec deficit completed the podium, with a further 9sec difference Samuel Jacob finished fourth and the Hero MotoSports Team Rally rider Karan Kumar with one second difference was fifth.

 


Pro Expert upto 500cc GroupA:

The podium of this class was dominated by Petronas TVS Racing riders. Rajendra RE was the topper followed by Abdul Wahid in second and Samuel Jacob in third with a difference of 14sec. Privateer from Nashik Nikhil Balakrishna finished a distinct fourth.

 


Expert upto 500cc GroupA:

Bengaluru based rider Sanjay Somashekar with a lead of 21sec managed to win the class over his teammate Nataraj R as both the top position was held by VM Motorsports riders. Sinan Francis, a privateer from Ernakulam with 44sec difference on the second finisher Nataraj  completed the podium. Koushubha M also a privateer from Bengaluru with 36 sec difference was fourth, while Gidyun from VM Motorsports and Privateer from Nagpur Jatin Jain finished in fifth and sixth position respectively.

 


Super Sport upto 165cc GroupB:

Coimbatore's Nithyan L won the class, this podium was bagged by VM Motorsports riders, Abdul Raheman with 7sec difference had to settle for second position while Bharath L with 1min 33sec difference was third.  Two privateers from Shivamogga Dheeraj H ( missed the podium with less than two seconds difference ) and Darpan Darshan finished in fourth and fifth position respectively.  

 


Super Sport 165 to 260cc GroupB:

Imran Pasha from Petronas TVS Racing was the winner of the class followed by Karan Kumar from Hero Motorsports Team Rally in second with a difference of 11sec, Banteilang Jyrwa also from Petronas TVS Racing managed to hold on to podium with 26sec difference. While his teammate with a difference of 6sec Sachin D missed the podium, Kathuroli Senthil Kumar a privateer from Jaipur finished fifth. Yuva Kumar from Hero MotoSports Team Rally finished in sixth.

 


Super Sport 260 to 460cc GroupB:

Rajesh Narajan Swami from Raigad representing VM Motorsports was the winner, Privateer from Coimbatore Akbar with 33sec difference was second, Madhusudhan S also a privateer from Shivamogga with 20sec difference finished third. Hemanth M from VM Motorsports and Syed Aqib a privateer from Chikkamagaluru finished in fourth and fifth position respectively.

 


Scooter upto 210cc GroupB:

The top two slots were bagged by Petronas TVS Racing riders, Syed Asif Ali with a total of 48min 21sec was the winner followed by Shamim Khan in second. Goutham N from VM Motorsports finished a distinct third. Privateer from Nashik, Devendra Dattatray Gunjal finished fourth while Karthik N and Hiten D Thakkar finished in fifth and sixth position.

 


Women's class upto 460cc GroupB:

Aishwarya Pissay from Petronas TVS Racing was reeling under bike issues in the first stage and lost over a minute comparing her own next stage timing but managed to win, Somyya Chaudhary a Privateer after being the fastest in stage one took command of the class and was heading for a comfortable top position till the final stage, but she lost over 2min 30sec due to mechanical issues and slided to third. Ryhana Bee also a Privateer finished second.   

 


Super Stock 165 to 260cc GroupD:

It was a Privateers dominated class, Jagadeesh from Coimbatore with a lead of 32sec over the second finisher Ashutosh Kaushik from Haridwar was the winner of the class followed by Thangaraj from Coimbatore in third.

Vishnu Sachin Jith from Thrissur with 8sec difference missed the podium. Pradeep C from Bengaluru finished in fifth position while Jeevanandham D from Coimbatore finished sixth.

 


Super Stock 260 to 460cc GroupD:

Chetan Hosatti from Huballi by clocking a total time of 51min 58sec was the winner followed by Durgesh J from Mysuru in second with 1min 11sec difference, came in third was Shivam Sonawane from Nashik with a further difference of 1min 03sec. Nilesh Thakre also from Nashik finished fourth with 4sec difference, as he lost over 30sec in the final stage trying to figure out the condition of Devaraj Venkatesh from VM Motorsports, the leader till then who went sliding into a ditch but managing to complete the rally in fifth.

 


Star of Maharashtra:

Mumbai's Privateer Clinton John Cordeiro with a total time of 49min 44sec was the winner as he managed to win the class with a lead of over 1min 30sec on Abhishek M Pardeshi from Nashik who finished second, Abhimanyu Ray from Pune  stood third with 58sec difference which included Liaison penalties. Amarendra Sathe from Pune and Omkar Kantilal Lokhande from Nashik finished in fourth and fifth position respectively.
