JSW MG Motor India partners with Vision Mechatronics to offer second-life battery solutions

We’re thrilled to announce that JSW MG Motor India partners with Vision Mechatronics to provide second-life EV battery solutions. The collaboration has developed India’s first high-voltage second-life battery, named ReLive, with a homegrown Battery Management System (BMS). 

The Industry-first high voltage solution will initially be deployed as a UPS backup solution for an industrial facility in Pune, demonstrating the versatility and effectiveness of second-life EV batteries in large-scale energy storage. 

This marks JSW MG Motor India's third pilot under the project Revive, which aims to provide EV battery recycling solutions. Being a visionary and futuristic brand, MG's first partnership with IIT Delhi and BATX provided a 100% Off-Grid Charging Station. The second one, in collaboration with Lohum and TERI, powered a primary school in Nainital.
