Aishwarya Pissay secures third place in Dubai International Baja in the Women's Class


Dubai, February 22: TVS Racing factory rider Aishwarya Pissay started her first 2021 FIM Baja World Cup race with an impressive third-place finish in the Women’s Class at the Dubai International Baja. The 25-year-old rider entered the International Rally after her successful stint at 2020 Indian National Rally Championship where she won the national title in Women’s Class and was placed P14 in the overall classification.


Aishwarya started the race on a positive note. She overcame the challenging track at the Al Quadra desert to finish second on the opening day. On day two, Aishwarya finished third.


Sharing her experience on Dubai International Baja, Aishwarya said “The race was challenging. I am happy that I secured third position in the Women’s Class. I take a lot of confidence heading towards the next race, especially from the difficulties I had to face. I would also like to thank my sponsors TVS Racing, Sidvin, Scott, IIFL, PUMA, IOS Sports and Big Bear Customs for the constant support.


“For the next two weeks, I will be preparing for the Jordan International Baja. My focus will be to better my navigation. I hope to improve my performance in the next race.”
