ROUND 1 OF THE EURO NASCAR CHAMPIONSHIP IN VALENCIA, SPAIN.

After being absent in the 2020 season, I'm back on track in the 2021 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season.
Driving the car after 1 year and 7 months wasn't easy as the series has brought in a new tyre compound and car setup from the 2020 season, which I am not used to, due to lack of testing.
The team and I worked hard over the weekend, going through the data and making tweaks to the car setup, to help me get up-to speed immediately. We made the most of the situation but were still off the leading trio. However, I have no doubt that with some testing in between now and the next round, we'll be back up top!
Qualifying : 6th out of 22 cars.
Race 1 : DNF. I was in 5th, hot on the heels of the car in 4th until the very last lap! Unfortunately, I ended up suffering from a mechanical issue and had to retire on the very last lap.
Race 2 : 7th. Due to tyre issues from race 1, keeping up with the guys up front was a task. However, I managed to have some very good battles with the cars in 5 - 8th positions.
